SIMSI β Single Mothers Support Initiative
Empowering single mothers and their children through dignity, livelihood skills, and comprehensive family support.
About the Program
SIMSI (Single Mothers Support Initiative) is a dedicated program that supports single mothers and their children who may be facing financial, social, educational, healthcare, or other everyday challenges. The program provides practical and, where possible, financial assistance to help address basic needs and difficult circumstances. It also connects single mothers with opportunities for skills development, livelihoods, education, and other forms of support that can strengthen their ability to care for themselves and their children. Through compassionate assistance, empowerment initiatives, community support, and partnerships, SIMSI seeks to promote the dignity, well-being, stability, and self-reliance of single mothers and their families.
Main Program Objective
To support and empower single mothers and their children by helping address their immediate needs while creating opportunities for greater stability, self-reliance, and improved well-being.
Specific Objectives (7)
Every initiative under this program is measured against the following concrete objectives:
Provide practical and financial support to single mothers facing difficult circumstances.
Assist with basic household needs where resources and circumstances permit.
Support the education and well-being of children of vulnerable single mothers.
Promote economic empowerment and self-reliance through skills development, livelihood opportunities, and entrepreneurship support.
Reduce the vulnerability of single-mother households by connecting them with appropriate resources and opportunities.
Promote dignity and social inclusion by recognizing and supporting the important role of single mothers in their families and communities.
Connect beneficiaries with other appropriate services and programs offered by the organization or trusted partners.
How SIMSI Connects with Other Pillars
